This splendid full-length production of the perennial Broadway favorite follows fast-talking salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying musical instruments and uniforms for a boy's band he vows to organize - despite the fact he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef! When he falls for Marian, the town librarian, chaos ensues as the townsfolk get wind of his scheme.
