'The Moth and The Flame,' written in the late 19th century, is a relentlessly chatty and darkly comedic play that looks at the strivings - financial, social, and otherwise - of that era's plucky New Yorkers and their curiously modern concerns and timely dilemmas. It's a slice of New York life from over a century ago, replete with gossip, betrayal and shameful secrets.
