Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 day-of-show plus a two item minimum in the show room.
To nominate a hag and for a complete list of prizes:
1. Fill out the questionnaire on www.missfaghag.com.
2. You must have a gay man nominate you.
3. A fun talent is a must-have!
4. You need to send a picture and/or online video.
Once we receive all submissions, the 10 girls with the most fantastic applications will be selected. In The Miss Fag Hag Pageant competition portion, all applicants will perform in a dazzling opening number. The contestants must prepare an evening look for themselves, a swimwear look for their gay counterpart (be as creative or sexy as possible), perform their fabulous talent in the performance portion, and finally answer important questions about gay issues and culture.
The Miss Fag Hag Pageant celebrity judges will score each segment of the competition based on originality, creativity and entertainment value. Our judges are Caroline Rhea from NBC’s The Biggest Loser and Sabrina the Teenage Witch, The Village Voice’s very own Michael Musto, Hedda Lettuce who made a splash on Project Runway last season and Katina Corroa who portrayed a fruit fly in the film Daddy, as seen on HBO and Logo. All decisions made by the judges will be FINAL. Before the The Miss Fag Hag Pageant winner is selected, the audience will give a wild card vote for the winner, and this vote will be tabulated along with the scores from the judges. Eligible contestants must live in the New York metro area. All contestants MUST be genuine fag hags, fruit flies or anything of the sort. All The Miss Fag Hag Pageant submissions must be received by end of day April 15, 2009. All materials submitted become sole property of COMIX to be used at COMIX's discretion for press & marketing purposes. Contestants will be announced on April 17th, 2009 on www.missfaghag.com. All contestants must attend a mandatory rehearsal on Monday, May 11th and on Sunday, May 17th before the pageant takes place—Rehearsal times TBD.
