The true story of Helen Keller and Annie Sullivan’s gripping battle to overcome impossible obstacles and the struggle to communicate. As a young girl, Helen is stricken with scarlet fever, leaving her blind, mute and deaf leaving her unable to communicate. Frustrated and desperate, she flies into uncontrollable rages and tantrums, terrifying her family. The gifted teacher, Annie Sullivan arrives to help Helen understand the world she’s isolated from, freeing Helen from her internal prison.
