From the IOWest website:

"After years of playing the north west counties of the 'Emerald Isle' the lads of THE MIGHTY REGIS PHILBIN (The Irish Show Band from County Sligo) have made their way to the U.S.. This band of misfits don't have much of a story if you ask them but here 'tis. Young Gavin McLoud (Mandolin) had the idea to form a band with some of the best musicians in all of Ireland...it didn't quite work out that way. So instead he asked the help of his friend Ronnie McDonald (Lead Guitar), a local music teacher and the nicest of people, together they were able to bring aboard Jackie Collins (Bass Guitar), a village poet author of 'Ducks have Feckin Feelings'. The three-some then found a drummer at their favorite local Pub drowning in whiskey and banging on the bar. George Glooney (Drums), the town drunk, helped give the band a true rhythm section. All the fellas now needed was a frontman. Gavin looked and looked and finally had no other choice then to ask his half brother Francis 'Franky' McNorman. A failed soccer player, Franky doesn't like his brother and doesn't like to sing but not having any other football teams in Ireland to get kicked off of Franky reluctantly joined."
