From the blurb:

THE MIDNIGHT EVILS
(Minneapolis, USA)

Hailing from Minneapolis, the Midnight Evils have been together for around 6 years. In that time, the group has lost a guitar player, Joel, found another one, Vandy, and lost a singer, Jonny, who left after their second record, and
irst for Estrus Records, Straight ?Til Morning. The band now consists of Curan Folsum on Bass, Stevie Cooper on Lead Guitar, Jesse Tomlinson on drums and Brian Vanderwerf (Vandy) on the other guitar. Curan, Stevie, and Vandy have also taken over the vocal duties since Jonny?s departure. The band?s untamed live show garnered accolades from fans and the press. Since Straight ?Til Morning?s release, the boys have been playing shows across the United States and even ventured over to the UK last year to play a series of shows (including their legendary ColdRice debut). The late, great DJ John Peel was playing the record and invited them to record a Peel Session---which they most certainly did. They now return with their second record for Estrus, Breakin? It Down. It?s their most rockin?, rollin?, high-energy, swingin? hoot put to tape yet! They?re headed back to the UK and Europe and will bring their good times and tough times to us tonite...

THE BIG BANG
(Birmingham, UK)

The Big Bang, our favourite sons, bringers of the raw doom with a catchy hook... 2 guitars like buzzsaws, one boomboomBOOM drummer, 2 voices screamin' the blues... good Sabbath, good White Stripes, good music. Never has going to hell had such a fantastic soundtrack.
