The Melting Pot NYC presents:
" Be Thankful For What You Got" ----
20 yrs- Memoirs of the Underground NYC

In celebration of the holiday this event is done to give thanks to our families, friends, love of Music and Art that inspire us to live, dance celebrate and rejoice. The art installation in this event presents a 20 year photo retrospective of the dance underground scene from venues such as Area, Shelter, The Ice Palace @ Fire Island, Choice, Love Life, Paradise Garage and the Loft to name a few. This is shown to us through the eyes and camera lens of Diane Rodriguez and Louis Kee, dancer aka Loose --(hmm, lets see if you can spot Andy Warhol or Keith Haring, then upcoming artist). Dance music selections by resident DJ Kervyn Mark to keep the energy at a high pitch. Also, expect the eye-popping visuals that TMP has become known for. Don't forget to bring the baby powder and musical instruments. Also, to give to the hungry and less fortunate please bring nonperishable food items such as flour, rice, and cannned food (to be donated to the Food Bank For New York City).
