The Mekons, Tarbox Ramblers October 2, 2007

The Mekons are a British rock band. They are one of the longest-running and most prolific of the first-wave British punk rock bands. Danburt Nobacon is a singer and pianist whose work includes albums with Jon Langford.

The band specializes in pre-World War II blues, hillbilly songs and fervid hymns, updated with rockabilly energy. Definitely not a musical preservation act, The Ramblers are both reminiscent of the past and completely new and original.
