The Mekons are a British rock band. They are one of the longest-running and most prolific of the first-wave British punk rock bands. What is satisfying about The Sadies is how the influences such as surf, psychedelic pop and Ennio Morricone are deftly injected into their trippy oeuvre, making for a truly alternative vision of country music.
