The Many Faces of the Harp August 26, 2009

Join us for an afternoon of music featuring internationally acclaimed musician harpist Dr. Vanessa Sheldon. Dr. Sheldon will perform an extremely diverse array of musical works to demonstrate the range of this exquisite musical instrument.

This event is free to the public and light refreshments will be served.

Born in Torrance, California, Dr. Vanessa Sheldon holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s of Music from CSU Los Angeles and a Doctorate of Musical Arts in harp and musicology from the University of Arizona. Highlights of her concert tours have included performances in China, South Korea, and Spain, for such notables as Oprah Winfrey, Maya Angelou, and Barbara Sinatra. Besides working as a professional harpist and instructor for the past twelve years, Dr. Sheldon is also active as a composer, arranger, and transcriber.
