Garnering high praise from national critics to local Angelenos, Voxhaul Broadcast is set to headline The Local Folk Fest at Center for the Arts, Eagle Rock on Saturday, March 5, 2010. Soon to make their way to South by Southwest (SXSW), Voxhaul Broadcast has been blowing up Los Angeles music scene with amazing sets like the one at Also I Like to Rock held last summer at the Hammer Museum. Sure to play old favorites along with tracks off their upcoming release, VB's set is one not to be missed. They will be joined at the festival by Nico Stai and The Sea of Cortez (both headed to SXSW), as well as Summer Darling, Hi Ho Silver Oh, and Telegram.

Nico Stai continues to build amazing international buzz with a multitude of hits commonly heard on popular television shows. He'll be bringing a full band out for the fest. The Sea of Cortez quietly amassed large indie cred last year releasing just one single "The Shores" that blew up on KCRW & KEXP. Summer Darling are strong players in the local scene having had the support of Origami Vinyl on their last record release. Hi Ho Silver Oh is near and dear to my heart. The foursome just released a 7" Showers Without Warning as well as a Little-Videos session that will blow you away. Their tight harmonies are ridiculous. Telegram is an up and coming band and ready to make a big splash in 2011. They are also genuinely local to the fest location of Eagle Rock.

To further the promotion of this festival, The Sea of Cortez & Summer Darling are giving away free EPs through Bandcamp. More information on the fest website.

Making this fest even more masterful is Kevin Bronson. An LA stud in terms of music knowledge and support, Kevin will be the guest DJ all night long. His Buzzbands.la blog is one of the most revered in town. He continually shines a bright light on local acts and helps bring their music to new audiences.

This fest is being presented by I See Sound LA, Eagle Rock Music Festival, Center for the Arts, Eagle Rock and YNM Management. With the generous help of so many (listed in the Our Sponsors and Thank You sections of the fest's website), we are proud to present this one day music fest. Tickets are $10 presale and at the door.
