The superego is an inevitable stage of a young child's development. Unfortunately its harsh judgments and rigid rules block and undermine spiritual development in adulthood. This first retreat, in a two part series, led by therapist Alison Hine and the Rev. Joe Summers, will help participants understand the superego, discern its voice, and better understand how to keep it from shaping our spiritual lives. While looking at some of the ways the superego can block Christian life, it is meant to be helpful to people of all faiths. Suggested $20 donation to help cover program expenses and the cost of lunch. To register, or for more information please call (734)846-3578 or email [email protected]
