Personal Stories Honoring the Immigrant Experience in the Shadow of September 11th - An evening of interactive theater.

In the post-9/11 climate of fear and distust we present and evening dedicated to honoring the immigrant experience and celebrating our heritage as a nation of immigrants. Audience members from diverse cultures are invited to share their personal stories of immigration. The actors and musicians transform these stories into improvised theatre pieces, providing a public forum for our emotions and reflections in the shadow of September 11th.

The Living Arts Playback Theatre Ensemble is a troupe of improvisational actors and musicians who "play back" personal stories shared by audience members in ways that both honor and illuminate the original experience. Playback Theatre affirms the importance and dignity of personal experience, enables people to view their lives in new ways, and draws people closer as they see their common humanity.
