London Community Players present The Lion in Winter by James Goldman, starring David Bogaert, Andrew Johnson, Jeanette Klaver, Justin Peter Quesnelle, Brandon Stafford, Steve Stockwell and Julia Webb.

It's a Royal family gathering at Christmas, and King Henry II has obligingly let Eleanor his wife out of the "prison" he's kept her in for ten years, just in time for the celebrations. Except that she's not happy. Henry's lovely French mistress Alais is ever-present, and Henry and Eleanor fiercely disagree about which of their sons is to be the next King. Should it be Richard the warrior, as Eleanor would have, or John, the bumbling but lovable teenager who is Henry's favourite? Throw the scheming middle-child Geoffrey into the "greedy little trinity" and you have a feisty gathering.
