The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society 2009 Downtown San Francisco Light The Night Walk October 22, 2009

Join thousands of Bay Area residents in Union Square for a celebratory evening to raise funds for blood cancer research.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) will Light The Night in the heart of San Francisco with a two-mile walk starting in Union Square on Thursday, October 22, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Light The Night Walk is a festive fundraising event for all ages featuring live music, entertainment, food and refreshments. Walk participants are encouraged to gather the spirit and energy of their co-workers, friends and family and be part of the two-mile moving tribute that literally lights the way to a cure. When the sun goes down, the night sky lights up with red, white and gold balloons to honor cancer survivors and those who have lost their battle.

Local cover band, Wonder Bread 5 will provide live music at this year’s Downtown San Francisco Walk. Food will be provided by local partner, E&O Trading Company. With a $25 donation to LLS, individuals can enjoy the evening’s festivities and participate in the Walk with an illuminated balloon.
