The Legend of Shiva & Parvati - Film August 13, 2009

Osmania University Centre for International Programmes & Goethe-Zentrum Hyderabad presents - The Legend of Shiva & Parvati - Film by Krishna Saraswati. Followed by interaction with the director. Where heaven and earth touch tower the summits of the Himalayas . They are the scene for the old Indian legend of the hot-tempered Shiva and his wife Parvati. In the same mountain area a young German woman meets an Indian yogi, who is revered by his followers as Shiva. The disciples are deeply concerned when they come to know about the burning love between their master and the young woman but after some time they realize that Shiva did find his Parvati. Many years later, Krishna, the son of this extraordinary couple, describes how his parents tried to find their own and truthful way between Germany and India , between legend and reality.
