The League of Chicago Theaters, an alliance of more than 200 theaters is hosting their SHOWTIME 2009 Gala to celebrate 30 years of theater in Chicago. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception and dinner, followed by a showcase of vignettes from some of the city’s best productions. Join us as we honor the artists, artistry and benefactors who make Chicago an extraordinary theater city.

Exclusive performances from Mary Poppins, Legally Blonde and others. Award presentations to Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Marcelle McVay, Janet Davies and the third Broadway in Chicago Emerging Theater Award recipient to be named later.

The League of Chicago Theatres (LCT) is a non-profit alliance of nearly 200 theaters which leverages its collective strength to promote, support and advocate for Chicago’s theater industry locally, nationally and internationally. The League of Chicago Theatres Foundation (LCTF) is dedicated to enahancing the art of theater in the Chicago area through audience development and support services for theaters and theater professionals.
