The Leading Edge of Cloud Computing October 7, 2009

The Calgary Council for Advanced Technology and Cybera are presenting an informative presentation and panel discussion on The Leading Edge of Cloud Computing. This networking mixer event will feature presentations by Adam Lukaszuk, President and CEO, VrSTORM, Geoff Hayward, President and CEO, DataGardens and a keynote speaker from Red Hat, Inc., California. A Q&A panel discussion will follow.

Cloud computing refers to being able to access computer processing cycles and data storage in a dynamic and flexible manner provided from multiple remote locations, securely and reliably.
Mr. Lukaszuk will be introducing the first Canadian Cloud including a discussion of IP anywhere, pooling of resources, pay-per-use billing, and agnostic platforms. Mr. Hayward will present on The WAVE (Wide Area Virtualized Enterprise), which enables businesses to migrate virtual IT services seamlessly across multi-site data centre environments as required. Red Hat's presentation will be titled, "Breaking down barriers for wider use of Cloud Computing - the Red Hat perspective."
Come out to hear these speakers share their leading edge knowledge on this new, exciting industry. This event is put on in partnership with Cybera. The CCAT AGM will be held 30 minutes prior to the event.
