"The Launch Party" is a highly inventive, interactive experience (a la Tony N Tina's Wedding) that will have audience members up out of their chairs and part of the action starting this June. The show takes VIP party goers (the audience) on a wild journey through a multi-room party space with a plot twist around every corner. The Launch Party's original script finds present-day Philadelphia bursting with excitement. A cast of the city's most influential and in some cases infamous party promoters, publicists and wannabe celebrities are throwing a launch party for an innovative new fragrance.
The cast of Philadelphia-inspired characters features: a wound-up prima donna publicist and her overworked stylist lackeys; a trio of bad boy party promoters known for the trouble they cause as much as the parties they plan; a world-renown erotic photographer who is also the brain behind fragrance being launched at the party; the photographer's muse, a famous foreign model and of course, the exclusive party guests, the audience.
The Launch Party will show for five engagements only this summer at the nightclub O.N.E at Rittenhouse. The show will run Tuesday evenings at 6:00 & 8:30p.m. beginning June 17, 2008. 1/2 Price tickets are available using code "VIP" through www.thelaunchparty.com. 21+ for admission.

About the Producers
Function Fuel is a special events and theatrical production company which delivers one-of-a kind experiences to both a public and corporate audience. Although events have included Mardi Gras fetes, cabaret performances and social mixers, it was the 2003 Function Fuel launch party for TimesSquare.com which broke ground and was deemed the "American Idol of Broadway" drawing kudos from theater community of New York City. Now in its 5th year, Function Fuel is now fueling functions in Philadelphia.

I spoke to a friend who saw a dress rehearsal for this show at ONE at Rittenhouse. She said it was probably the best thing she has seen in Philly in a long time. She bought me two tix. Apperantly the ticket price isn't high, so it's a steal for a fun night. We are totally gonna check this one out!
