Directed By Robert Rothbard (Pizza With Bullets, The Office, Charlie Putz), THE LAST DAYS OF JUDAS ISCARIOT is Guirgis' most hilarious play yet.
JUDAS is set in a time-bending, darkly comic world between Heaven and Hell, where agnostic lawyer Fabiana Aziza Cunningham has brought before the court The New Testament's most infamous and unexplained sinner – Judas Iscariot. Fabiana and her opposing prosecutor, Yusef El-Fayoumy, call on a cavalcade of witnesses from Sigmund Freud to Satan in this dark courtroom comedy.
THE LAST DAYS OF JUDAS ISCARIOT runs January 18th through February 24th, 2008. Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 6 p.m. Performances are at Theatre 68, a beautiful and spacious venue with 99 seats and free rooftop parking. Theatre 68 is located at 5419 Sunset Blvd., just east of Western in Hollywood. Tickets Friday and Saturday $25.00 and Sunday $20.00. Running time is 130 minutes with intermission.
