created & performed by Mike Daiseydirected by Jean-Michele GregoryAppropriate for ages 14 and up.Running Time: 1hr 40min (no intermission)Fearless autobiographer and gonzo journalist Mike Daisey (If You See Something Say Something, How Theater Failed America) has traveled to a tiny South Pacific island to take part in the annual festival of the Jon Frum Cult. Worshippers of cargo left behind by American G.I.s, these islanders build meticulous bamboo replicas of Western engineering, re-enact scenes from internet broadcasts, and summon American power through sympathetic magic. What does our economic crisis mean to them, and what can they teach us about wealth and wishful thinking?Tickets sold at 6:30pm each evening, two per person, cash/check only. Lines begin forming between 5-5:30pm. Performances typically sell out.
