600 Fourth Avenue (between Cherry and James)
Seattle, Washington 98104

This joyous jam of West African music and American jazz overflows with spiraling harp plucks, gravely trumpet shouts, shuffling bass lines, drum claps, and gleeful piano lines. The Oregonian declares the music has “the swing and intellect of American jazz with the divine poetry of West African music.” The Seattle Times says “Modest but mesmerizing, it’s as novel and agreeable a sound as you’ve never heard.”

Outside on the upper plaza or inside lobby if it rains. For more information, visit our calendar at seattle.gov/seattlepresents or call (206) 684-7171. Part of the Seattle Presents Fall concert series.
