We are delighted to announce a performance by The Joni Mitchell Project on Friday June 3rd at St Bartholomews Church, Coffinswell as part of Coffinswell & Daccombe Spring fayre
Sally Barker, (Poozies) is joined by Glenn Hughes on piano and dulcimer to present a captivating evening dedicated to the cool Canadian Joni Mitchell . Consummate artist and a legend in her own lifetime, Joni Mitchell emerged from the same singer/songwriter genre as Jackson Browne, Leonard Cohen etc, and fused Folk with elements of Jazz and Classical, as well as penning classics for others, including Both Sides Now and Woodstock. Now Sally Barker has captured the spirit, tone and attitude of the great Joni. This is a journey of heart and mind to California via Chelsea, Paris and Des Moines a captivating evening of Joni Mitchell’s poignant early songs, in a show dedicated to one of the truly great female singer songwriters.
