Hello comrades,
With Indian Summer seemingly giving up and going into hiding, I know the temptation is great to follow suit and begin preparations for hibernation, especially with the rain starting to hit us hard. But, as an alternative to climbing under the covers with a good book and some hot chocolate, or beginning that marathon of your favorite TV show you just bought on dvd, or listening to all the albums you own by your number one singer in chronological order, I propose that a trip to a local dive to hear some live music, drink whiskey, or beer, or coffee/your soft drink of choice (if you're off the booze), can be just as rewarding and conducive to a comforting spike in your body temperature!
And, lo and behold, I'm writing to tell you about such a show, happening next Wednesday, November 12th, at Annie's Social Club, in the SOMA district of San Francisco! On the night in question, The Jonah Kit will be sharing a bill with three other acts, all playing the kind of gritty, raw acoustic music with folk/country influence and punk spirit that I like to refer to as "Fugitive Folk."
We'll go on third at 10pm, and will be playing alongside....
