This month Chaos Theory brings you bands that merge electronica, jazz and contemporary beats.

-----------------------
SALTWATER SAMURAI

A massively exciting band who create their own blend of electro jazz house music, which has grabbed the attention of the UK scene in a major way.

Having been played on Radio 1 by Gilles Peterson, having performed at The Vortex, Charlie Wrights International, Queen Elizabeth Hall (South Bank Centre) and with a support slot with nu jazz greats Led Bib at the Green Door Store, it won't be long before this 5-piece take off to interstellar levels beyond our reach.

Featuring electronic production genius Crewdson (signed to Slowfoot Records, remixed tracks for Ninja Tune band Grasscut, performs in jazz outfit Hello Skinny).

Their EPs 'Battered' and 'Trapped In A Megadrive' are must-haves.

-----------------------
ECHIDNA

A vibraphone-led contemporary trio, held together by percussionist Tim Doyle. Moody and dramatic, Echidna create airy soundscapes with tight rhythms and playful melodies.

With Tim Doyle on vibraphone, Jamie Benzies on bass and Corrie Dick on drums.

Nearest tubes are Shoreditch High Street, Aldgate East, Liverpool Street.
