WHO: The Illinois Eye-Bank and the Illinois Eye-Bank, Watson Gailey are divisions of Midwest Eye-Banks, a 501(c)(3), independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to the restoration of sight.

WHAT: “Night For Sight” is an educational event hosted by the Illinois Eye-Bank. Guests will enjoy a “Tour and Taste”, exploring Rockford’s premier natural history museum while sampling complimentary hors d’oeuvres. Hear moving stories from eye, organ, and tissue donor family members and a cornea transplant recipient.

MISSION: The mission of this non-profit organization is sight restoration, providing eye tissue for transplantation, supporting research into the causes and cures of blinding eye conditions and offering educational programs to increase awareness of the continuing need for donation. In 2007, the Illinois Eye-Bank provided 1,825 corneas for transplantation.
