On Saturday September 8th, Ice cream lovers all over the New York metro area get a chance to celebrate their sweet tooth with a great, big, chilled chow-down while they help raise funds for underprivileged children in the city. Join the Ice cream scavenger hunt in the afternoon or the ice cream tasting at the after party.
The annual Ice Cream Run, hosted by E & Company, kicks off in the afternoon and takes participants on a 2 hour scavenger hunt around Manhattan to the finest ice cream and gelato parlors in town. Here teams score points by sampling flavors and answering trivia questions about the cool treat. The Run is followed by an after party. Here guests can take part in an ice cream tasting and enjoy refreshments while they wait for winners to be announced and prizes awarded.
While adult participants take pleasure in being kids again for an afternoon, underprivileged children all over New York City will also benefit from the Ice Cream Run. All event proceeds are donated to non-profit organization Children for Children (www.childrenforchildren.org) and used to provide resources to schools struggling to offer quality education to New York City's underserved communities.
