The Hip Bop Experiment September 2, 2009

Jazz keyboardist Glenn Tucker leads the Hip Bop Experiment in a night of positive, intelligent hip hop accompanied by an all-star jazz/funk sextet. The group features four emcees including Theologic and Zan DeParry. Taking cues from The Roots, the RH factor, and generations of jazz greats, this group has found a unique voice that is both grooving and cutting-edge. The HBE seeks to illuminate hip hop as the latest extension of the jazz tradition, and to prove that the two styles are more similar than different.

The group will play 3 sets from 10am-1pm
