This year's Hendon Pageant is dedicated to Armed Forces Day 2011, Saturday 25th of June, and consists of a series of activities held on both the Saturday and Sunday dedicated to the members of all 3 Armed Services in the UK and their families.

Activities include concerts of military music by The Barnet Band (Sat) and the Royal Air Force Association's Presidents Band (Sun) under the Museum's Lancaster, tours, talks plus a book signing by Battle of Britain Veteran Wing Commander Peter Ayerst DFC on Saturday.

For our younger visitors the museum will have farmyard animals present as part of our Land Girls experience; and for aviation enthusiasts we will be showing rare footage of aerial displays held at RAF Hendon from 1929 to 1940 in the Museum's cinema.

Additionally, a Spitfire Flypast over the Museum on Saturday 25th, subject to weather conditions. Timings to be confirmed.

Admission to the Museum and to the Museum's Armed Forces Day Weekend activities is free of charge. The Museum is open daily from 10am to 6pm. For further details about this event please call 020 8205 2266 or visit the Museum's website.
