Just as real hilarity sprung from the fictionally named UK series Monty Python's Flying Circus - there never was a Monty Python, nor was it a flying circus - the same may be said of BEVERLY WINWOOD ACTOR'S SHOWCASE, a comic "fauxcase" that celebrates its tenth anniversary with a special run at SF Sketchfest.

"Legendary" acting teacher Beverly Winwood (Susan Yeagley) presents her talented "stars of tomorrow," in a live forum usually reserved for elite agents and casting directors, spotlighting Hollywood's fastest-rising stars as they interpret classic scenes from stage and film. Conceived and directed by Tony Sepulveda, the show will feature such talents as Carrie Aizley (Campus Ladies), Tim Bagley (Web Therapy, Jordan Black ( Community, Jennifer Coolidge (Best in Show), Steven Cragg (Happy Endings), Nat Faxon (co-writer of The Descendants ), Mike Hitchcock (United States of Tara), David Jahn (My Big Fat Obnoxious Boss), Phil La Marr (Futurama), Michael Loprete (writer, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno), Karen Maruyama (The Bucket List), Brian Palermo (90210), Jim Rash (Community), Mary Jo Smith (Thank You for Smoking), Antoinette Spolar (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Mindy Sterling ( Austin Powers), Lynn Marie Stewart (The Pee Wee Herman Show), and Christen Sussin (Campus Ladies). The show is produced by Allison Kingsley, former Executive Director of The Groundlings Theatre.
