The final concert of the Choir’s annual National Conductors’ Symposium is a favourite among devoted music lovers. Six advanced conductors from around the world and their mentor Jon Washburn explore the choral music of seven great 19th century European composers - Ludwig van Beethoven (Elegische Gesang, Opferlied, Agnus Dei), Anton Bruckner (Christus factus est, Locus iste, Trösterin Musik), Robert Schumann (Der Traum, Der Sänger, Zigeunerleben), Franz Liszt (Ave Maria, Ave verum corpus, Pater noster) Johannes Brahms (An die Heimat, Der Abend, Fragen), Richard Wagner (Begluckt darf nun dich, Wach auf!, Treulich Geführt) and Hugo Wolf (Auf ein altes Bild, Verborgenheit, Fußreise).
