The Great Morel Hunt May 17, 2009

Hike through the lush, private forest of the Pocono Manor's 3000 acre estate foraging for spring mushrooms and other wild edibles. Participants will be led by renowned mushroom appreciator and hunter Bill Russell, author of the 'Field Gude to Wild Mushrooms of Pennsylvania. Hikers will then present thier finds to Chef Doug Becker from Pocono Manor's The Exchange, who will incorporate the gathered ingredients into a gourmet feast prepared in the open air. Lunch will include wine pairings to compliment the earthy flavors of the gathered wild mushrooms.
