A match made in heaven? Perhaps... When Carissa left the God Damn Doo Wop Band last year, the band went on hiatus, but with Annie of the Soviettes and Awesome Snakes as the new third the band is back on track and the girls are combining forces to write a new record out (hopefully) fall 2008.

They co-headline their second show with the new lineup (sure to be a dance party to rival all dance parties) Friday, May 9th at the Hexagon Bar in South Minneapolis with the Black Hollies who wowed the crowd at the Turf Club on their way back from SXSW with their 60's inspired rock. If you missed GDDWB last month or the Black Hollies in March, you definitely won't want to miss this!

Retainers (hands down best garage band in minneapolis), Cortez the killer (who are home on a break from tour), and Real Numbers (scene mainstay Eli's new group) open.
