Each member of Brazil’s brilliant musical family, the Gismontis, has a virtuoso solo career. All embrace the influences of their heritage with dynamic, pulsating energy and virtuosity! Egberto Gismonti (composer/piano/guitar), Alexandre Gismonti (guitar) and piano duo Bianca Gismonti & Claudia Castelo Branco and jazz flutist Jane Bunnett (Canada) perform a seamless blend of classical, jazz and Brazilian popular music.
The program includes works by Egberto Gismonti, Villa-Lobos, a world premiere by Glenn Buhr (Canada) and more.
