The Get Down Sequence September 16, 2006

Formed in early 2005, The Get Down Sequence was originally made up of only two members, Ben Haag and Carlos Iniguez. What began as impromptu jam sessions quickly grew into something more. Ben and Carlos set out to complete their sound. In May of 2005 they recruited bassist Eric Cressey and began embellishing upon the duo's early recordings. With all three members coming from different musical backgrounds, the resulting music was a blend of many sounds not particular to any genre.

All that was left was to find a lead singer whose vocal style fit the unique sound of The Get Down Sequence. In October 2005, Ben introduced friend Zeke Hamblin, who expressed interest in the bands music. While sitting in on a practice, Zeke picked up the microphone and began to improvise melodies over several of the bands songs. After the band conferred with each other, Zeke was invited to complete The Get Down Sequence, and in November 2005 began working on their first EP.

A synthesis of many different styles, the sound of the Get Down Sequence goes beyond any single musical genre and incorporates influences from each end of the musical spectrum to produce music distinctly their own.
