The Games We Play: An exploration of why women have sex
with Dr Cindy Meston and Dr David Buss
March 11th at 7:30pm
at Fort Mason's Bayfront Theatre, San Francisco

Join us for an evening with Dr. Cindy Meston and Dr. David Buss, University of Texas researchers and authors of "Why Women Have Sex". Scientist often glaze over the topic of women and sex due to the tangibility of the obvious reasons—to experience pleasure, to express love, or—at the very heart of the biological drive to have sex—to reproduce. Dr. Meston and Dr. Buss assert that based on their research, women's motives range from the mundane ("I was bored”) to the spiritual ("I wanted to get closer to God”), from altruistic ("I wanted my man to feel good about himself”) to vengeful ("I wanted to punish my husband for cheating on me”). In this dialog, they will discuss the many reasons why women have sex and present some of the underlying clinical, evolutionary, physiological, and psychological explanations.
