Introducing: The Gaithersburg Book Festival!

The Gaithersburg Book Festival is an ambitious project, built to become the premier annual literary event in the region. It will feature presentations, book sales, and book-signings from writers of both national and local acclaim, as well as workshops for aspiring writers and children. Thousands of people will come from across the region to hear writers of all kinds tell the stories of the characters – both real and fictional – we love to read about, about research and the craft of writing, and about the business of books, newspapers, and electronic media.

The Festival will be an all-day, outdoor event set on the grounds of Gaithersburg ’s City Hall. The structure of the Festival will be similar to that of the National Book Festival, using a number genre-based tents (e.g., Fiction, Non-Fiction, Children, Local Interest, Sports and Leisure, etc) in which writers will speak and take questions, and then sign books. There will be fantastic opportunities for both sponsors and vendors!
