Los Angeles Times columnist and “Chance of Rain” blog writer Emily Green will speak at The G2 Gallery, a green art space dedicated to nature and wildlife photography, as a part of G2’s Garden Lecture Series.
Every thing that we put into urban gardens comes at some cost from the native environment, be it quarry rock, water, compost, mulch, plants, or, most importantly in the West, water. Emily Green's lecture “Habitat as Fuel” will look at how—with a few simple changes in attitude and style— city residents can landscape in such a way that dramatically reduces our toll on the environment while at the same time returning some of the benefits from lost wild spaces into urban enclaves.
Friday evening lectures at The G2 Gallery are free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
