The Frost-haired and the Dream-seer May 24, 2008

We are very proud to be the first theatre to present the only play written by the great Sami poet, Nils Aslak Valkeapää (1943-2001), in a staged version. Inspired by his Japanese friend, Jun’ichiro Okura, he wrote this dream-play in the form of the classical Japanese Noh theatre, but gave it Sámi content, expressing his own philosophy of life in the poetry of the text.
