The Friedman Legacy for Freedom Luncheon July 31, 2008

Host: Texas Public Policy Foundation. July 31, 2008 would have been Milton Friedman’s 96th birthday. To honor his vision and the impact he has had on our society, we will celebrate the Friedman Legacy for Freedom in partnership with the Friedman Foundation for Educational Choice. Please join us as we honor Milton Friedman’s legacy to limit the size of government to better ensure our freedom. Special guest Dr. Tom Saving is one of the nation’s leading experts on Social Security and entitlement reform. Named to the President’s Commission to Strengthen Social Security in 2001, Saving is now Director of the Private Enterprise Research Center at Texas A&M University and Distinguished Professor of Economics. At this event, Saving will address the size of government, particularly entitlement programs, one of Dr. Friedman’s many concerns.
