The Foundry Field Recordings, Gentleman Auction House, Barn Owl - $6 / 8:30 pm

The Foundry Field Recordings wear their influences, such as Built To Spill and Grandaddy, on their rolled-up indie rock sleeves and they create music that is perfect for bathing in the summer sun.
Gentleman Auction House initially began as a new musical endeavor for St. Louis native singer/songwriter Eric Enger, but has gradually blossomed into a seven-piece ensemble, providing a sonically saturated accompaniment featuring a variety of instrumental textures - from piano, organ, and auxiliary percussion, to flute, trumpet, and xylophone. Ranging from spirited guitar romps and unrestrained percussive fanfare, to down-tempo introspections and swelling declarations, each song claims its own identity amidst a laundry list of lyrical poignancies. On their debut EP "The Rules Were Handed Down", Gentleman Auction House succeed in marrying a pure and uncompromising DIY aesthetic with the lush and dynamic atmospheres of multi-instrumentation.

One can't forget about Barn Owl and their distinctive and textured music!
