The Folkadelics' music is an amalgamation of a little bit of reggae, funky three-part harmony vocals, with a touch of hip hop. Sam Miller (guitar/vocals/beat boxer/harmonica) and Gavin Cummings (wah-wah mandolin/vocals/guitar) formed the band (formerly Sampson & The Folkadelics), in 2007 in Ithaca, NY. They soon relocated to New York City.
