During this evening event Susan Chapman will give a talk and sign copies of her book. The talk will be followed by a wine and cheese reception. Susan Chapman, MA lives in Vancouver, BC and is a retired family therapist who has been practicing mindful meditation in the Shambhala tradition for over 35 years. She has worked with domestic violence prevention and held a priviate counseling practice. In 2002, after having completed a three year meditation retreat, she was asked by author and Buddhist teacher Pema Chodron to become a druppon, or three year retreat leader at Gampo Abbey in Nova Scotia.

Gregory Heffron has taught the mind-body meditation technique of Mudra Space Awareness at Juliard College of the Arts in NYC and elsewhere.

This talk and weekend workshop will be held at the Berkeley Shambhala Meditation Center located at 2288 Fulton in downtown Berkeley - only one block from BART. We offer free meditation classes and have three lovely meditation rooms where the public are welcome to join us for open meditation sessions, classes and community activities.
