The Fish Bearing Tree - a children's play based on a humorous folk story from Nagaland, translated by Sudhamahi Regunathan and adapted for the stage by Nisa Shetty. The plot has adventures of two brothers, smart Asa and silly Manserung and how Asa must use his wits to protect Manserung from the miserable fate that Mang and Tashi plan for him. The play is directed by Jalabala Vaidya and will be performed by students of the Akshara Theatre's Diksha Programme in the Classical Arts, as part of the Akshara Theatre Northeast Festival.
