This month we have an array of hugely original bands, playing progressive, post and alternative rock with their own spins. Each one of these bands push boundaries hard; so if you're bored of the usual unsigned rock gigs, get yourselves over here for something different.

TACOMA NARROWS BRIDGE DISASTER
Immense band who've spent years perfecting their textured instrumental post metal. Now complete with a vocalist, their music continues to be as hard hitting as ever whilst flowing from one melody to another. Having played with names such as Latitudes, Orders Of The British Empire and Astrohenge at venues including Camden Underworld, The Unicorn and The Relentless Garage, this is one band you are guaranteed to be blown away by.

LOST IN THE RIOTS
Beautifully fiery post rock band from Watford, trying their hardest to break away from the town's hardcore scene. With aspects of their music ranging from sparse ambience to guitar-driven riffs, unconventional time signatures and mounting crescendos, we are sure you'll end up taking their EP Sinking Ships home with you.

ASTONISHING TALES OF THE SEA
A schizophrenic band who fuse jazz with energetic heavy and melodic post rock, with many a manic tangent into the bizarre. An absolute must see for fans of Mr Bungle-esque craziness and fans of rock alike.

ESCHAR
This will be the third time this Guildford band play for us so you know they're good. Hard hitting rock riffs which neatly progress from one movement to the next makes you revel in the instrumental post rock that results. We've been there, we've got the t-shirt. Make sure you get yours.

HELLISH FLAVOURS
Insane. A furious amalgamation of metal, prog, mellow and doom from this Swindon duo. Using only drums, bass and textured vocals, this pair's experimental music has already grabbed the attention of the equally talented Lazer Horse. A real experience for the adventurous rock fan.
