The Evolution of the Berliner Helicopter at College Park June 28, 2007

Father and son inventors Emile and Henry Berliner documented the evolution of their helicopter with photographs. This exhibit recounts the early days of vertical flight, as well as the 1997 joint effort of the Smithsonian and the College Park Aviation Museum to preserve the 1924 version of the helicopter that is proudly displayed today.
