THE EVENT, an evening gala celebrating the best in gourmet food, fine wine and spirits, “Windows for Kids” silent auction, and live entertainment, will take place on Sunday, April 18, 2010 at La Encantada-all to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson. Over 1,200 people are expected to attend this premier event, sampling tastes from more than 40 local restaurants and sipping wine and other beverages while being entertained by live music throughout the evening under the stars. This year the Co-Chairs of “THE EVENT” are Dave Gallaher and Cyndy Neighbors. Founders of “THE EVENT” are David Lovitt, Mark Irvin and Laurie Wetterschneider.
Since 1963, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson has helped keep thousands of local children involved in wholesome activities, providing a positive alternative to the influence of juvenile delinquency. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson offers daily access to a broad range of programs in five core areas: Character and Leadership Development; Education and Career Development; Health & Life Skills; The Arts; and Sports, Fitness, and Recreations.
