The EU-China Environmental Business Facilitation Conference on CDM and Bioenergy June 11, 2009

Organised by the EU-China CDM Facilitation Project (www.euchina-cdm.org), with support from the EC Delegation to China and the Czech Embassy representing the Czech Presidency of the EU, this conference aims to promote the cooperation in developing renewable energy projects, especially in the biogas, biomass energy and landfill gas sectors, through CDM as an important driving force.

The conference aims to provide a platform to exchange European and Chinese experiences and expertise of the biogas, biomass energy and landfill gas sectors, to explore the business opportunities for the private sector, and to facilitate greater cooperation for the future. The event will gather over 200 participants including policy-makers from EU and China, European and Chinese bioenergy companies, investors and CDM project owners, SOEs and other major stakeholders. The conference is free of charge, with budget covered by the European Union. A project/company exhibition area and a business dialogue cocktail will be provided at the end of the day.
