Electronic waste or "e-waste" is broken or unwanted electrical or electronic devices. Many components of e-waste are considered toxic. Due to the difficulty and cost of recycling used electronics as well as lacklustre enforcement of legislation regarding e-waste exports, large amounts of used electronics have been sent to countries such as China, India, and Kenya, where lower environmental standards and working conditions make processing e-waste more profitable. Oso Martin, President of Bear eCycling, will discuss the ethics of ewaste, and what is being done in Portland.

Bearecycling will also have a collection truck if you want to bring used electronics. Donation fees will apply.
