In his second directorial effort, Jerry Lewis’ offbeat antics revolve around oblivious production assistant Morty Tashman (played by Lewis himself), hired to observe and report on the inner-workings of “Paramutual Pictures.” Misadventure gives way to misanthropy as Lewis reveals Tashman’s disheartenment through interactions with members of Hollywood’s filmmaking community.
